CIPS Membership Grades and Fees:

CIPS Membership Grades:

CIPS offers different levels of membership as described below. You will see that in order to study and be examined for any qualification awarded by CIPS, you will need to be a current Student Member

Student Member

Student Membership is the entry level of membership for CIPS students and new practitioners in the purchasing and supply sector who are at the earliest stage of their professional development. As a Student Member, you will have full access to CIPS benefits during the course of your study. As a Student Member you will be permitted by CIPS to sit their examinations and aim to achieve the CIPS qualifications which best suit your circumstances.

Affiliate Member

Affiliate membership is ideal for anyone who is not seeking to become professionally qualified with one of CIPS's professional Levels of Qualification for example, but who does have a strong interest in purchasing and supply. Affiliate membership will give you access to membership benefits and does not require any entry qualifications or past experience.

Certificate Member

If you have achieved the Level 2 Certificate or Level 3 Advanced Certificate, you may become a CIPS Certificate Member.

Diploma Member

Once you have successfully completed the Level 4 Diploma qualification, you can have your level of study recognised through your status as a Diploma Member.

Associate Member

When you have passed the Level 5 Advanced Diploma programme, your membership status will rise to that of Associate Member. This recognises that you are developing your career and have already reached a significant level.

Full Member (MCIPS)

Your professional accomplishment will be internationally recognised when you are awarded full membership. Most of the Members achieve MCIPS by completing the CIPS Professional Diploma. You should also have at least three years relevant work experience to achieve MCIPS status. The CIPS Management Entry Route is also available to those with extensive relevant work experience.

Fellow (FCIPS)

Fellowships are awarded by CIPS to existing Members (MCIPS) with a record of outstanding achievement and competence in purchasing and supply chain management. As a Fellow, you will be internationally recognised both for your professional standing and the contribution you make to the purchasing profession.

CIPS Membership Fees:

Membership fees charged by CIPS vary according to your location and are not linked to your Nationality. The CIPS web site is customised according to your location so for example if you are in Australia when you go to the site, you will be given information relevant to that region. You can however move to different locations for information by using the options at the top right hand side on the CIPS index page. [New Window]
