| Unit
exemptions may be granted depending on your circumstances
You may have already completed studies within the past 5 years for
other qualifications during which some subjects had a similar
content and were of at least the same standard as CIPS's unit
content. Through a well defined process, exemptions can be claimed
through CIPS either for previous qualifications, this is called
Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) or for previous
experiential learning, this is called Accreditation of Prior
Experiential Learning (APEL).
Exemptions
will be considered for levels 3-6 of the new qualification or for
the Foundation or Professional stages. However you cannot claim
exemptions from any of the integrative units or from the core compulsory
units of level 6. You cannot be exempt from integrative units

* Level 4 Foundation Diploma in Purchasing and Supply – Purchasing
Contexts
* Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Purchasing and Supply – Improving
Supply Chain Performance
* Level 6 Graduate Diploma in Purchasing and Supply – Supply
Chain Management in Practice
You
cannot be exempt from Level 6 core compulsory units
* Leading and influencing in P&S
* Strategic Supply Chain Management
